No meat is more tender or delicious than the meat from Thomas McCreery Butchers. Based on Belfast’s Ormeau Road we are a family butchers who specialise in grass-fed, traditionally matured beef, lamb and pork reared by farmers who care about their animals.

HISTORY

Mention the Ormeau Road and the first
thing that springs to mind is McCreery’s
Butchers. Trading on the Ormeau Road since 1960
they have built an excellent reputation for quality products and superb service. Thomas McCreery the founder of the business worked along with his two sons Preston and Nigel for many years until illness forced him to retire. The two brothers continued with the business improving and both expanding their range of products and with Preston retiring in 2000 Nigel now runs the shop on his own.

sourcing all our meats from local suppliers
who we know care about their animals
and the environment. All our beef, lamb
and pork can be traced from birth.

•Ageing our Meat: Unlike most of the supermarkets
we actually let our meat mature for at least 21 days allowing time for the full flavours to develop and the meat to become juicy and tender.

•Staff: All our staff are professionally trained to high standards and most of the staff are time served butchers, many have been here for more than 15 years, in fact George Biggerstaff joined the company in 1964 and can still be found behind the counter serving customers to this day.
